We’re excited to welcome Amy Mia Hall to Virginia Women’s Center!  Amy is a board-certified Nurse Midwife and OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner.  She holds a Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery from SUNY Stony Brook School of Nursing in Stony Brook, New York and a Bachelor of Science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  Additionally, Amy is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

Amy’s passion for caring for women is personal. When her first child was born, the nurses caring for her were incredibly compassionate and caring.  Amy soon realized that she wanted to be able to help women in some of the transformative moments in their lives as well.  So, she enrolled at Emory University to pursue her BSN.  After graduating, she moved to the West Coast and practiced nursing in California, Oregon, and Washington State.  Amy loved the integrated healthcare approach which included and valued nurses as part of the healthcare team.  When she later moved to New York, she realized that she wanted a larger role as a provider of women’s healthcare, so she became a Midwife, Nurse Practitioner and Lactation Consultant to allow her to care for women from adolescence to childbirth to menopause and beyond.

When she’s not working, Amy loves spending time outdoors with her partner Robert and their Mini Schnauzer.  She’s a skier and scuba diver and loves gardening and wildlife.  Amy and Bob are excited to be able to live on the water in the Northern Neck and enjoy catch-and-release fishing.
