your pregnancy

Virginia Womens Center Pregnancy ObstectricsWhether you’re a first-time mother-to-be or experienced in pregnancy, our team at Virginia Women’s Center will be with you every step of the way. We believe that children are among life’s greatest blessings and it is a privilege to help bring them into your family. Each pregnancy and birth is just as special and unique for our medical family as it is for yours – we are excited and honored to begin this journey with you.

Our care team – comprised of OB-GYNs, high-risk pregnancy specialists, hospital-based OB-GYNs, nurse practitioners, ultrasound technologists, psychologists and a genetic counselor – are experienced in all aspects of pregnancy and welcome the opportunity to care for you. We have added all of these services and specialists to our practice not only for your convenience, but also because we believe that you will benefit from a coordinated and comprehensive approach to your pregnancy care.

Virginia Women’s Center physicians partner with hospital-based OB-GYNs to provide 24/7 care in the hospital. Hospital-based OB-GYNs are experienced, board-certified physicians who focus on providing care to patients who are admitted to the hospital, as well as those arriving in Labor and Delivery. We have chosen this model of care because we believe that having a dedicated physician always available in the hospital will enhance the safety and comfort of your labor and delivery experience. You can rest assured knowing that Virginia Women’s Center physicians and hospital-based OB-GYNs work closely together to provide around-the-clock care for both you and your baby.

Our award-winning, integrated electronic health records system allows every member of our care team access to a complete picture of your health, ensuring you receive personalized care throughout your pregnancy and beyond. We are sensitive to the individual needs, religious traditions and ethnic backgrounds of our patients and we will strive to deliver the best care and comfort during this exciting time in your life.
