your pregnancy
Whether you’re a first-time mother-to-be or experienced in pregnancy, our team at Virginia Women’s Center will be with you every step of the way. We believe that children are among life’s greatest blessings and it is a privilege to help bring them into your family. Each pregnancy and birth is just as special and unique for our medical family as it is for yours – we are excited and honored to begin this journey with you.
Our care team – comprised of OB-GYNs, high-risk pregnancy specialists, nurse practitioners, ultrasound technologists, psychologists and a genetic counselor – are experienced in all aspects of pregnancy and welcome the opportunity to care for you. We have added all of these services and specialists to our practice not only for your convenience, but also because we believe that you will benefit from a coordinated and comprehensive approach to your pregnancy care. Our award-winning, integrated electronic health records system allows our health care providers access to your medical records so that across locations, service lines and even in the hospital, we can provide the best care to you. We are sensitive to the individual needs, religious traditions and ethnic backgrounds of our patients and we will strive to deliver the best care and comfort during this exciting time in your life.
In addition, instead of participating in the hospitalist programs at our local hospitals, which employ outside physicians for Labor and Delivery coverage, we have chosen a model of care that allows one of our trusted VWC obstetricians to be there to deliver your baby 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We believe that you’ve chosen Virginia Women’s Center for a reason and we want to ensure that during delivery you receive the medical expertise, advanced technology and compassionate care to which you’ve become accustomed.
As your body changes and your baby grows, we know that you’ll have lots of questions. We’re always ready and willing to answer them in the office, over the phone or through our secure patient portal. However, you may also use the links below to learn more and stay informed about what matters most – your health and that of your baby.
