Demetria Y. Gordon, M.D.

Demetria Y. Gordon, M.D. joined the Memorial Regional Medical Center location of Virginia Women's Center in February 2012. Dr. Gordon delivers babies in the hospital Labor & Delivery unit as well as sees Virginia Women's Center patients with obstetrical or gynecologic problems who come to the hospital.

Dr. Gordon received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from Clemson University. She continued her education at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she received her medical degree. Dr. Gordon completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Virginia, where she was awarded one of the Resident Teaching Awards for Best Medical Student Teacher and the "You Make a Difference" Award.

Dr. Gordon joined Virginia Women's Center from Providence Women's Care/Novant Health System in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

When she's not practicing medicine, Dr. Gordon enjoys cheering on her favorite football and basketball teams. She also spends her time reading, enjoying gospel music, participating in church activities and spending time with her family and friends.
