Lonny S. Green, M.D.

Lonny S. Green, M.D. Lonny S. Green, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science in biology from Stanford University. He earned his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine.  Dr. Green completed his second year of general surgery at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He then completed the Harvard Program in Urology, through Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital, Children’s Hospital and West Roxbury Veteran’s Hospital.

Dr. Green completed postgraduate training at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia where he served as senior registrar at the Alfred Hospital. He holds a Master of Business Administration from University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.  He is also an associate clinical professor with the Department of Surgery for the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals.

Dr. Green has received numerous honors and scholarships. He has authored many articles in his field of study and has presented in the U. S. and abroad. Dr. Green is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology  as well as the National Board of Medical Examiners.  He is active with the American Urological Association and is a fellow of the American College  of Surgeons.  He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the International Continence Society, the Richmond Academy of Medicine, the Medical Society of Virginia, la Societe Internationale d’Urologie and the Society for Urodynamics & Female Urology.

As director of the Virginia Women’s Continence Center, Dr. Green sees patients with urinary incontinence and bladder diffculties. His interest lies in all aspects of female urology, including pelvic relaxation and urinary tract infections. 

Dr. Green and his wife have six children– three boys and three girls(all delivered by Virginia Women’s Center obstetricians). He enjoys skiing, physical ftness and playing jazz piano, but the vast majority of his non-work time is spent enjoying his family.
