Peter T. Wilbanks, M.D.
Dr. Wilbanks enjoys his patients’ triumphs and challenges. He has experienced great success working with women experiencing high-risk pregnancies as well as multiple births. In an area of particular interest to many women, Dr. Wilbanks also has been successful in treating premenstrual syndrome and has also been a leader in the utilization of minimally invasive surgery. Virginia Women's Center patients for whom surgery is necessary can now benefit from Dr. Wilbanks' training in using the daVinci® Surgical System for minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Wilbanks volunteers for The Faison Center of Excellence and the Peter Paul Development Center, which, in turn, benefit the many children of Richmond. Dr. Wilbanks says his two small children bring new meaning to his obstetrics practice. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys gardening and racquet sports, including squash and tennis.
