Edmund D. Schoeffler, M.D. joined Virginia Women’s Center in 1990 and practices at our West End location. Dr. Schoeffler enjoys caring for women throughout their life journey. He’s passionate about all aspects of gynecology and specializes in the management of menopause, osteoporosis, and  Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).  An experienced surgeon, Dr. Schoeffler is an expert in pelvic relaxation surgery.

Dr. Schoeffler received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his internship and residency in OB-GYN at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Schoeffler is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. In 2007, Dr. Schoeffler served as the Chief of Staff at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital.

Outside of the office, Dr. Schoeffler is an avid golfer who is certified by the USGA in the rules of golf. He also enjoys photography and scuba diving. Most of all, he enjoys the time he spends with his wife and their two daughters.
