As a maternal-fetal medicine specialist, Dr. DeMay collaborates with other VWC providers in the care of high-risk pregnancies and other situations requiring advanced ultrasound.

Dr. DeMay remained in Galveston after residency to complete her maternal-fetal medicine fellowship. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as maternal-fetal medicine. Dr. DeMay has conducted research on many complications of pregnancy including preterm labor, stem cell activity in human umbilical cord blood and mobilized peripheral blood. Dr. DeMay joined Virginia Women’s Center from East Tennessee State University where she held the positions of assistant professor in the department of OB-GYN and chief of the maternal-fetal medicine division.
